Referrals
A valid and current referral is required by Medicare for patients to claim the maximum rebates for the costs associated with services provided by medical specialists.
A referral from a GP is generally valid for 12 months.
A referral from another medical specialist is valid for 3 months.
An indefinite referral is only accepted for a specific medical condition.
Fees and Payment
Our fees are similar to those set by the Australian Medical Association. Confirmation of costs can be requested prior to consultation or treatment. Subsequent consultations generally attract lower fees. Additional fees are payable if biopsies or treatments are performed.
Payment is required at the time of consultation.
Pensioners
We provide discounts for patients with the Age Pension Cards. Currently the discount rate is approximately 30% of our standard fees.
